Came to see what the hoopla was about and left with a full belly of a fantastic sub...

I always wanted to try this place, and since I was in AC, perfect timing.

I can see why this place is so popular, busy, and talked about.

We ordered a "small" sub; chicken parm, and a steak sub. It was delicious, fresh, and cooked perfectly.  A small sub here is about a medium to large at other places. The prices are not high, and they serve your sub on paper plates. There is a 2.99% surcharge to cover any credit/debit charge, which isn't much.

We had to walk this off at Tanger, burn, baby, burn those calories off...

White House Subs is a well known sandwich shop that's been around since 1946. This location can be found inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.



I was looking for a quick lunch and stumbled across this place while strolling through Hard Rock. I've had the cheesesteak at their other location before, but never tried the famous Italian, so that's what I went with this time!

The sub is packed with Genoa salami, imported ham, capicola, provolone cheese, LTO, and oil + vinegar. The bread was fresh, and all the ingredients worked well together to create a delicious, balanced flavor.

The staff was fast and efficient, and my sub was prepared perfectly.

I cant believe that Ive been going to AC for 14 years and this was my 1st time being here! SO GOOD. I got the turkey & provolone cheese sub with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, mayo...with a little oil and vinegar. Ugh, hit the spot! Had half at night and the other half the next day and still perfect. I think it was actually better the next day. Will now be a spot I go to every year!

When you walk into this place it’s like stepping back in time.  The atmosphere is perfect. Guys at their stations making sandwiches to perfection.

The cheesesteak had an amazing taste. The relish added a nice touch.

We were thrilled to see that White House subs has a shop within the Hard Rock Casino resort in addition to their original location on Artic Avenue. It’s been an Atlantic City landmark for decades and is a must do for locals and tourists because their sandwiches are just that darned good!  Their legendary bread melts in your mouth. Our favourite is the 1/2 original cold Italian which is almost big enough to share with 4 people.  Don’t let the 1/2 size fool you- it’s about 12” long, stuffed with super fresh ingredients. We love their signature oil with oregano sauce, and with the meat, provolone, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and mayo - you’ve got yourself a sandwich that will make you exclaim “Mamma Mia”! Lots of other sandwich choices to pick from, very reasonably priced. Note that this is a walk up counter to place your order. There’s some tables and chairs available in the front.

Don’t leave AC without trying a White House sub done the true Jersey Way.

This is the new and second location of White  House sub shop inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. I've been to the original and this doesn't seem any different in taste. The submarines were very good. I had the Special which is the Italian with double of the Genoa salami, provolone, ham, and capicola. I love their Italian bread so soft and chewy. Holds everything in place. Its topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, and vinegar. Add the roasted peppers......so good! Also got the full size Cheesesteak, I couldn't believe the size of the full. Foot and a half long! Their cheesesteak is definitely different from Philly  since they add lettuce and tomatoes. All in all a great option if you're in the Casino. Better than having to drive out to the original location, outside the Casinos.

Never can leave Atlantic City without having a Whitehouse Sub!!!! Hands down the best!!! Everything they put on anynof their sandwiches is always fresh, and it is THE BREAD THAT MAKES IT. This bread is not found anywhere else. I have been coming here for at least 40 years. Anytime I go to Atlantic City, Wilwood,  or Cape May Whitehouse subs is a MUST STOP!!! The workers are very nice people. They know they work for a historical landmark.

The "White House Special" was the absolute best hoagie I've ever had, and my big back havin' self has had hoagies all over the east Coast!

Everything was top tier, including the service. They didn't even bat an eye when I told them I was gonna need everything separate so I can pack it in my checked bag to fly one back to Florida for a friend!

If you go to Atlantic City and do not stop here for a cheese steak or a hoagie, well…you’re just insane. Take my advice and all the other reviewers advice and go. Wait in line - because there will be one - and order one of everything. Just kidding, order your fave and savor the history of the world’s most perfect sandwich. Bread is fresh, stuffed nicely and accompanied with peppers. Service is excellent.

Got the half-size Italian sub. Held off on the hot peppers. Bread was good. Cold cuts and cheese was an ample portion. Maybe next time I will try the special to Amp up the amount of meat. Service was good. Ate at one of booths. Most folks were getting orders to go. Waitress service if you sit in a booth. Otherwise order at the counter towards the back.

Conveniently located in the Hard Rock Hotel on the Boardwalk. So glad there is this outlet in this resort. My go to quick lunch and dinner spot. Cold Famous Italian or White House Special are musts. MUST add hot peppers. Highly recommend and can’t wait to be back.
